Media Repository

Store, organize and share media data.

Introduction

The CMS provides the Media Repository as a new system for managing digital media files. Not only images and documents are directly supported – audio and video content is supported as well. The data can be re-used in other systems such as social networks. The system manages a variety of file formats and metadata schemes. It stores and organizes media data and helps to manage workflows with them.

Public web presentations are possible as well as collaborative work in restricted groups. The Media Repository helps both small teams and larger research projects in the management of media assets and their long-term storage. We offer you the Media Repository already in the buildup phase.

Service

The CMS provides an environment for your own Media Repository on our servers at your disposal. This makes you independent of other projects and allows you to manage user rights, the metadata scheme and the design individually. Other tasks like system maintenance and backups we will do for you.

We offer the following services:

  • Storing of media files with an unlimited number of files up to 100 GB (you can request more)
  • Provision of 4 web addresses in the form of https://domain/<YourProject>, with the fixed domains bilder.hu-berlin.de, images.hu-berlin.de, medien.hu-berlin.de and media.hu-berlin.de
  • Optionally an additional HU subdomain
  • Pre-configured HU corporate design
  • Long-term availability, professional backup and data security concept.
