Store data
Please use the services of the Computer and Media Service to store your files. This ensures that the data is stored redundantly and secure in accordance with the data protection guidelines. If you work with personal data please pay particular attention to the instructions on restricting access.

HU-Box
- Secure and mobile file storage
- Automated backup and versioning
- Data is stored on HU servers
- Access can be configured variably
- Group work (also with external parties) is possible
- Working with sensitive data in password-protected, encrypted folders in compliance with data protection regulations
- Maximum 2 TB per user (students max. 100 GB)
Windows Fileservice
- Automated backup
- Data is stored on HU servers
- File exchange in groups and projects (HU-internal)
- Own access via internet is possible
- No exchange with external parties
- Over 10 TB costs may arise (students max. 50 GB)
Media Repository
- Web-based system for managing digital media data
- All common file formats are supported
- Secure storage and automated backup on HU servers
- Web-open presentations as well as collaborative work in closed workgroups
- Group work (also with external parties) is possible
- 100 GB per project/group, beyond that on request
- Regular training courses at further vocational training of HU
As a data repository beyond that:
- Guaranteed archiving of at least 10 years
- DOI allocation
Database Service
- Supported database management systems: PostgreSQL, MySQL and Sybase/SAP ASE
- Administration and maintenance of the database system by CMS
- Max. size of a database: 100 MB (up to 512 MB possible with sufficient justification)
- Regular training courses at further vocational training of HU
