MATLAB & Simulink

MATLAB is a development environment that includes numerical calculations, technical graphics and visualisation as well as an intuitive programming language for applications in engineering, life sciences and natural sciences.

 

Since January 1st, 2025, not all MATLAB/Simulink products and toolboxes have been available, as the old contract has ended and the costs of continuing it were not economically viable.

  

There are currently only 2 licence types available:

 

MathWorks account and assignment of the licence

Please create a MathWorks account at https://de.mathworks.com/ or log in with your existing account. Now link the licence number: 82262 with your MathWorks account at https://de.mathworks.com/licensecenter/licenses/add. If you do not do this, you will receive an error message when installing the software.

Software download and installation

The software can be downloaded from the Software-Download-Center. A valid HU account and a Mathworks account are required.

A licence number is requested during installation: 82262

Licences

1. Licence server

The CMS operates its own licence server (server: liz.cms.hu-berlin.de port: 2500). To use it, please download the license.dat. The licence server can only be accessed within HU network or via VPN connection.

2. Individal licence

These can only be obtained via your IT-Beauftragten.
